I think he's like that to all women, but the only women we ever see him interact with are Miya-jun and Haruko.

It's possible his mother left them because of his father(you can tell why), but still a death is just as probable. As for N.O., Naota's brain waves, being positively linked together, could create a breech in the galaxies net, causing a rip in the very anals of time and, most importantly, space itself, obviously sucking objects(and people??)in through a seemingly clever worm hole configuration from a seperate world. Heck, who knows really where that stuff shooting out takkun's head is comin from. Makes ya wonder don't it?-lol

I think Naota's mother died while Naota was around the age of 7 or 8. It was early enough to really effect Naota's psyche yet still recent enough to be a "hush" topic in the Nandaba household. It would explain Naota's insecurity and Kamon's pervertedness.

I think it was just misunderstanding what n.o. can do. rewatch ep. four if you don't understand n.o.

but yes, that would be a possiblility, but wouldn't Naota have made mention of his N.O. having those kinds of abilities, or at least knowing what's going to happen to him?

I gotta agree with william here. both in that Kamon was probably naturally like that, and that I would rather go with known facts, not "what if" kinds of answers.

this doesn't mean I don't like delving into deeper meanings, I just like to stick with what's actually in the show.

No, no. I was just trying to explain that Naota's N.O. could have ripped the guitars and Kanti, and whatever else that came through his head from another galaxy where the Medical Mechanica may be a reigning tyranny over whatever civilization inhabits it. If you read the second and last book of the FLCL series by Hajime Ueda, the end plot shows that Haruko is on the run from the Galaxy Space Police Brotherhood, as well as Atomsk. This Brotherhood only seems to want to go after Atomsk as a prime target, while Haruko only resembles a thorn in MM's side. So maybe their both just fugitives on their run from some evil empire?? Who knows? And as for Nao's mother, she probably died while he was just a child; it's seems to happen that way often in these things.
