Where is Naota's Mother?

Postby Otaku » Fri May 16, 2008 1:02 pm

It's just something I realized while reading another post when someone said 'Naota's guardians' it came to my attension that Naota didn't have a mother figure.

there are many theories, like she died, left Noatas dad, or was just a one night stand of noatas dad...

meh, shes not there, thats all that matters

I think it might just add to who he his as a person. Like, the reason why Naota is probably having these emotional and scary feelings with women is because he had no maternal figure growing up and having no sense of foundation or concept of a relationship, which probably shows that he is an individual and made a journey more-so alone than with the help of his immoral father and lack of a mother figure.

There's no defined reason his mom's not around. I think his mom's absence adds depth to Naota's affection for Haruko.
Why does it seem like all adolescent anime characters grow up with only one parent?

If you notice, in several situations, Haruko seems to take on the role of Naota's mother. An unorthodox mother, but a mother none the less.

and noone came to the idea..
that maybe yazuka portrayed naota's mother,
to be like his own mother.?

who left him, at an early age.?

- could be a possibillity. -

I always got the feel that Naota's mom died years back. My she died or left Kamon when Naota was just a baby or so. Nothing is ever really implied.
