The best Anime, The One, The Bomb, The Shit, ... IT!!!!!!!!

Talk about specific anime other than FLCL. What's Gainax up to lately?

It should of been 5 cents.
It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank god that such men lived.

can you tell me wat the difference is between the

i think there's two...isnt there???

Actually there are three dvd series.
The original FMP, then FMP fumoffu, and lastly the FMP the Second Raid.
Second raid is a direct sequel to the first while Fomoffu is a bit of a side story. Fan service is muted but fun none the less IIRC. A few mecha battles too. You can get it from netflix and decide if it is for you with out spending major $.

i keep telling you all, MOMOTAMA. it's fucking amazing, AND NONE OF YOU LISTEN TO ME.

true, the cover of it looks stupid and so does the design for the main character, but the story is so freaking good. Q.Q

Isn't part of the critera for being the best being visually pleasing?

shhhhhhhh~ well the reason the main character design is strange is because he's a child compared to all the rest of the characters which are in their late teens or adults. :/ BUT I TELL YOU IT'S GREAT.

or how about Speed Grapher i ever saw it but i hear its good its i a kinky trip that messes with your head. It'll plunge you head first into the darkest depths of greed, lust, and obsession. It's a good thing you like to watch, because you won't be able to look away.

http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=4806

this shows what people think of the series, but has a shitty summary

so here's a better one:

What They Say
Mythical Japanese hero Momotaro banished the ogres from their island home. Now their modern descendant Kokonose Mutsu is determined to reclaim his family's birthright! Armed only with his dubious exorcist powers, his adorable face, and his enormous ego, the precocious pipsqueak sets out to reconquer the island, which has been turned into a military school for demon exterminators. These hardened soldiers are well prepared for any onslaught, but can they stop laughing at this ludicrous invader quickly enough to put up a fight?

The Review!
Packaging:
I don't think the cover of this release is going to leap into anybody's hand. The squat and dumpy hero, looking even squattier and dumpier because of the outsized clothes he's wearing, and apparently hatching out of an egg, is not one that I can see appealing to a great many people. The colour design is a little heavy on pink, for reasons I don't understand. Surely a peach colour would be more suitable, if obvious. Inside the book the paper looks a little brighter to me than I'm used to seeing in TokyoPop releases. Printing is nice and sharp with deep, solid blacks. A nice extra is a retelling of the source legend in the middle of the book; the end features a brief manga-style afterward from the author.

Artwork:
Momo Tama's art is decent if not exceptional. The main oddity is the design of the lead character. I realize he's supposed to be an ogre - but the people he communicates with by phone (who I assume are ogres as well) look pretty normal. I think the idea is for him to look funny around the other characters. He does, but it's the weird kind of funny more than the humorous kind. Everybody else looks all right, though. The people who are up to no good are effectively sinister, and probably show the best work overall.

Text/SFX:
The translation reads just fine, though it seems a little coarse for the age rating. Sound effects are untranslated, as usual. The text design is excellent: dialogue fits the speech bubbles well and, and far as I noticed, is always properly justified.
