Well then don't call Mass Effect boring because it probably has twice as much action as any other RPG out there, except for maybe Fallout 3/NV. It's like half Gears of War, half KOTOR.

Woah woah woah woah. BioWare has done way better with RPGs than Bethesda has ever done. Elder Scrolls = Great games, but no superior to any BioWare game (maybe Dragon Age). Besides Fallout sucks.

no one has said why it's worth playing.

Bethesda's problem is the Gamebryo engine. And their character modeling.

Wurmgod and all that.

Although I've never played Mass Effect

Throughout the whole trilogy, there are over thousands of factors that change the way you play the game. It has a riveting story and you can pick the way you want the game to end. It includes more than enough dialogue, has romance, and a really great combat system.

But that wouldn't convince me, so just go play the demo of 1 or 2. But start at 1, because it creates way more immersion.

EDIT: When I said thousands, I meant in at least ME1, then thousands in ME2, plus the thousands in ME3 (but all coming to an end of the trilogy).

Read the wiki. It's 2183 (ME1), you're a human, you mingle with aliens, gather a crew, and fight an evil force.

I never said Fallout 3/NV were as good as Mass Effect. I said they had about the same if not more action in them.

Thank you Dana....

Just because it's in Space and you talk with aliens make it automatically generic?

all 6 star wars movies.

the whole 'team up with aliens and fight off an evil force' thing is incredibly cliche.

i mean, nearly every sci fi book ever. EVER.
