Walking dead, amazing comic by Robert Kirkman that you should read if you haven't already.

Story is as follows: The Walking Dead is centered on Rick Grimes, a small-town police officer from Cynthiana, Kentucky, his family, and a number of other survivors who have banded together in order to survive after the world is overrun with zombies. As the series progresses, the characters become more developed, and their personalities shift under the stress of a zombie apocalypse, most notably Rick's.

AMC grabbed the rights to turn it into tv show, beating out nbc(thank god), Having Frank Darabont(The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, The Mist) write and direct doesn't hurt either. Looks to be a great retelling of the comic.

Creature from the black lagoon.

I like his name because it's also a sexual ennuendo.
