Help get great anime(esp. Elfen Lied) on Adultswim

Hey guys, we really need your help!

Adultswim, if you don't know, is a network that is on after Cartoon Network on the Same Channel, and they have had a rich hitsory of Anime, showing shows including: FLCL, Paranoia Agent, Full Metal Alchemist, Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Shamploo, Bleach, The Big O, Ghost in the Shell(Stand Alon Complex and Second GIG), Inu Yasha, Morbito: Guardian of the Spirit, Blood +, Blue Gender, Case Closed, Code Geass(including Lelouch of the Rebellion R2), Death Note, Eureka Seven, Lupin the 3rd, Kikaider, Mobile Suite Gundam(including War in the Pocket and Stardust Memory), Neon Genesis Evangelion, Outlaw Star, Pilot Candidate, Reign: The Conquerer, s-Cry-ed, Tenchi Muyo!, Trigun, Trinity Blood, Witch Hunter RObin, Wolf's Rain, and Yu Yu Hakusho.

Take your pick, you probably love at least one of those(even without FLCL there). Now, there is a Thread on Adultswim.com that I post at the bottom where they are trying to bring Elfen Lied on the air.

This can happen, and has before. King of the Hill got on from a Strong Internet Support on a Thread on Adultswim.com. If we can do this, I think it would be a big step for all Anime Lovers, because currently Adultswim only has Anime on Saturday and their are only 8 Anime shown on TV and like 20-25 Comedy Shows.

I think if we vote on this and get the ok, it would be Fantastic. Think of the attention it would get, all the fans who'd watch it, and what this would mean for all anime! If we bring this back, we could get a strong anime presence in America besides Avatar: The Last Airbender. I don't even think Toonami's around anymore, so I urge you to go to this thread and vote for Elfen Lied. It will be edited, but we think it might be possible not to overkill it with editing. New Info: One Piece in it's uncut form on Adultswim! This has an even larger audience than Elfen Lied, actually an amazingly large following. I have cosigned this as well and encourage you to do so...

Look, these only work if these people actually WATCH the shows. Mainly, people with the ratings box thingies.

Anime keeps getting pushed back because it's rating are dismal. If we really want to get shows back, we need to push ACTUALLY supporting said shows.

That's because it's only on Saturdays. From what I hear that's a deadzone for television, at least on Adult Swim. And when they had great anime people watched the fuck out of it. Then they started buying some cheap stuff. Anyway, One Piece has an AMAZINGLY large fanbase in Japan and America among other places, so I think that that would get plently of watching. First, we have to get them there though. If it doesn't work out, whatever. But the internet made Mad World the #1 Christmas Song in the U.K. if I'm not mistaking. We can do it, we jsut need a bunch of people. Like I said, King of the Hill got on from the internet.

Even if it does, right now we need Fans, and it's not suckish enough to make me wanna discard Anime on Adultswim as a dead concept. As long as it's not Bakugan. Bleach and Kekaishi are pretty much on the same level of maturity, so it's adult enough I think. Anyway, once that kicks off we can get better Anime, i.e. Elfen Lied, maybe bring back Eureka Seven, Samurai Champloo, and browse the Market a little.

In fact, it has all sucked since OLS was canceled.

Used to, anyway, then insert different Anime. Either way, [as]'s Anime used to be amazing, or at least I thought, and now it's dying. That's sad. Revive it. As long as we don't air Bakugan, then anything to ressurect it. Then later more mature shows will come along. For now, even if you don't like One Piece, suggest a better way to popularize Anime on Adultswim.

i think putting elfen lied on tv is the most retarded idea ever.with all the cutting of scenes theyd have to do,it would ruin the show.unless they kept the show intact and dont edit,yeah thats a great idea,but i doubt they'll do that.maybe one piece would be a better idea,i dont really care eitherway since adult swim hasnt shown any great anime in a LONG time

Have all anime watchin' kids who get on forums 'n' such request a nelson TV ratings box. (You can call them and ask. They set on eup in my house for me)

Watch anime on that thurr TV hooked up to the box.

One box can range from hundreds of estimated views to thousands depending on demographic, number of households with a box, and area.

Watch as percieved ratings for said shows jump.

Watch more be purchased, and better timeslots.

I don't think you could air Gantz with out the same heavy edit that Elfin Lied would need. Not to say it couldn't be done, but I think the story line would suffer terribly from said editing. Now if they could add Black Lagoon, which is verbally rough, I would watch that. (or tape it) Revy is worth watching it for
