Furi Kuri, no real significance... or is it?

When I first heard Furi Kuri, I was quick to assume it meant, Fake/Real; because they frequently said in the earlier episodes, "who cares if it's real or fake?" In addition to the fact that at the end of every episode something turns out to be fake, for example. "The glasses in episode 3, the eyebrows in episode 4, and in episode 2, the phrase, "I don't know where the truth ends and the lies begin." Course this likely isn't right being as assuming the end of episode 1 doesn't have anything to apparent that might prove an example. Unless you want to count Naota saying he doesn't like sour stuff then drinks the sour drink, but thats taking a HUUUUGE stretch and has a lot to argue against. Heh, this is a lot like poety, talking to oneself then coming to a gradual realization without ever making and communication to anyone for advice, thought, or influence.

I'm crazy!

furi kuri is just how you would pronounce flcl if you were asian. if you aren't asian, you would say fooly cooly.

to get technical, furi kuri is the japanese pronunciation of flcl.

His fall was not a small one.
We did but build his pedestal,
A narrow and a tall one.

Who cares if its furi or kuri or fooly or cooly or red or blue or up or down or reality or fantasy or time or space or...

...Sorry. My brain broke for a second.

Actually, it's hard to just write it off as pronunciation - Because in the English version, both "fooly cooly" and "furi kuri" have been said within the series.

It's a question wrapped in a mystery sealed within an enigma...

...But who's to say furi isn't fooly, and cooly isn't kuri?

How do we know what is truth or fiction?

What if FLCL is reality, and we're the experimental show?

Is it our place to debate on the true meanings of the Universe when we know so little about the deep ocean floor, two thirds of our planet's surface!? When we've explored less than 1% of the majority environment on our little blue planet!?

...

Really, I think you can watch it just to enjoy it, or watch it to understand deeper meanings. I think there is symbolism - For those who want to see it that way. However, as has been said before:

"If you want to understand FLCL, watch it from beginning to end.

The desire shall pass."

"I don't know where the truth ends and the lies begin." I love how this sentence leads into episode 3. I need to see if they did this with the other episodes.
