FLCL Manga ending? (SPOILERS)

I couldn't understand what was happening at the end besides haruko making out with naota and leaving him her vespa.

So was he asleep the whole time after killing his dad or... what?

it wasn't haruko, it was harukos superior. she gave naota a vespa so naota could go after haruko, so he took off flying but he got hurt because kids can't drive.

It was obviously Haruko though, look at her expression while telling Naota about her "self sacrifice".

Haruko isn't one to sacrifice herself, and she tells Naota he's grown up before they kiss.

The manga of FLCL came AFTER the anime did. GAINAX commissioned the guy to produce the manga.

As for the reason FLCL is so short, my guess is that six episodes was all GAINAX could afford to make for the series or it was an aesthetic choice.

all the people of haruko's species look and act exactly the same. :O

also, other dude, it's short because it was just made to test some new equipment gainax got or something. it wasn't meant to be a full series or anything like that.

they went bankrupt, but i don't know if they actually went out of business or not.

I'm pretty sure Gainax is still going.

Also, the whole show was just them testing out new equipment they had. Besides that, the show ended where it should of, I can't think of anything that they could continue it with that wouldn't ruin what was great about it

i just didnt want it to end where it did. it could be a story about Mamimi as an adult or haroku after she leaves space. maybe she comes back again to take him. IDC i just dont want it to end there. if theres an episode 7 and it sucks then at least i can say it should of ended at 6. but now i feel like it ended to early.

None of those plots really fit in with the show. You in the end he ends (excuse the redundancy) up with Ninamori? It's supposed to signify that he grew up and realized the other two where just using him.

Or something like that, it's been a while since I've watched it...

Believe me, I'd love more of the show, but I just don't think it would work.

i agree. but like i said if they mess it up then at least i could say it should of ended at 6. seeing naoto grown up would be really cool they could do something like that where the elementary kids are in high school and whatever happens makes it interesting

In my honest opinion the manga should be the only thing continued. Its been a long time since they showed the last episode and ended the series and for whatever reason a second season isn't going to happen. But as seen in the manga as compared to the anime naota is left with a vespa to go after haruko. The manga can easily be continued based on his search for haruko.
