Did yall see that part where they showed the sun in the backdrop, I consider that a reference to outside. Ohh and when they were eating food, I do that too.

The show(FLCL) came out in 2001, right? South Park was pretty controversial since around this time most "cartoon" like shows were mainly aimed at kid audiences. There weren't many, or if any, animated shows that were for older teens and adults. The Simpsons were really "classy" with thier style of humor compared to "South Park".

It used kids as thier characters at that! You could see how it got so much negative attention from parents.

I'm just wondering how an artist or two got the idea of using it in FLCL.....unless "South Park" represented another style of "rebellion" at a young age to society! YEA! The kids in South Park were fouled-mouth, troublesome, dis-obedient punks! And the kids who watched it represented a big middle-finger to what a kid shouldn't do!

It fits perfectly with one of FLCL's many themes, "Rebellion"! Holy shi....I just mind blowned myself...
