No, it is good. They also all work for the 360.

No. It's the same rehashed bullshit they've done for every previous, only with a shit ton of aim-assist, and rediculous kill systems (for example: An entire clip into the head < One bullet and a melle). If you are going to buy any shooter, go with either BLOPS, or Gears, the good thing about gears, is that if you don't like competitive modes, Hoard lasts forever, and doesn't get boring.

You just suck at Halo apparently, because I kill people using the DMR in about 5 shots.

Halo: Combat Evolved set the stage for all shooters to come after it. We see this in most games allowing only 2 guns, sheild systems, etc.

It also has epic challenges on Legendary mode. Get a buddy and just play co-op on it, it is quite fun.

lots of pc games had those things before halo did man.

take counter strike for example, youre allowed a primary and secondary weapon, and it had riot shields.

thats only one example, halo may be fun but it didnt invent shit.

No, I've got a lot of people behind me on this one. Also, I was referring to the online, not campaign (which is easy as shit).

Oh hey grenades that you can just throw without having to switch your entire weapon to specifically grenades

Oh hey melee system that again you don't have to switch weapons to use

Halo was already in development before Counterstrike bro.

Also, durandel makes good points. You also completely missed the shield. It did indeed lead the way in FPS games. All since have emulated it, cept Half Life. Because hey, who wants to fuck with the HalfLife formula?

Any bioware game has those factors (i.e. fuck your squad).

We're just joking bro. No need to call in the defense force.

how exactly are those good things?

in fact, those two things are commonly thought to be whats wrong with modern shooters.

and pkb, in development is not released. the two weapon thing wasnt invented by halo, unless you want to claim that other people stole the idea from the unreleased game.

its possible for more than one person to have the same idea at the same time.

The only thing certain people complain about in that feature is the knife range was overextended. That was fixed on Black Ops.

and actually, counterstrike had buttons too. because 'nades and knives take up weapon slots, you can switch to them by pressing the button assigned to that slot. you can also bind other buttons to switch and attack at the same time, if you were so inclined.

really, all halo did was streamline the process for a controller.

Sir, you are missing the point.

You had to hit, say, 7. Then you had to hit fire.

Bassically that made grenades and knives useless as their supposed to be quick response weapons.

By giving them designated buttons, as we see even on the PC now, you made them viable weapons.

Also, no, doom did not go anywhere near that level.

You're still ignoring sheilds/rechraging health. That, and what happened to those features being bad? :)
