I feel you. that is exactly what I do too. That's why I have very few favorite artists and simply lots of favorite songs.

My mom has this huge record collection, every Led Zeppelin album besides Coda and Presence too.

It's all about the music for me. I mean lyrics are important too, but I can like a song instrumentally but not like the lyrics rather then the other way around.
