You're an atheist because you're 14. All 14 year olds are "atheist".

NO, I'm not 14. And pretty much my whole family is atheist to some degree. We prefer to think things out logically instead of relying on a bearded wizard in the sky. You're from the south, you're supposed to be religious.

Makes more sense than, as I said, a sky wizard.
Also, don't believe there was a "beginning" to the universe. It just always was. It's stupid to try to comprehend and try and figure out how the fucking UNIVERSE "began".

Considering we can see how it will end, there had to be a begining.

It also does not make sense. This is the atheist view in a nutshell.

I never said "at first there was nothing".
Tell me exactly, are you a fundamentalist, or do you think the stories are merely lessons?
If you answer fundamentalist, then how does "On the first day... LET THERE BE LIGHT!" make any more sense.

More lessons. Does that mean I don't believe the creation story could be true.

Well I respect you for not being a fundamentalist faggot.
I know atheist is often affiliated with angst, which I hate, but i tend to enjoy life, I just find religion hard to believe (it's best viewed as a set of rules to follow through life).

When it comes to religion I think there's no way to prove any of it. Why even bother trying to figure out what made it when there's infinite ways it could have happened? There could have been a god, gods, nothing, anything you can possibly imagine. Not that religion is a bad thing, although organized religion is.

If there is a god, atheists go to hell and (depending on which god) theists go to heaven. If there isn't, it is neither beneficial nor detrimental to any of them.

So you might as well pick a religion and hope that yours is the right one, because there's no point in being an atheist seeing as how you can't prove a religion is wrong or right. The only thing atheists can do is bitch and complain about how stupid religion looks to them.

Any reason saying that you don't like organized religion just means you're an angsty teenager.

Just because a person is an atheist doesn't mean they believe in the big bang and evolution and whatnot.

errybody be stereotyping all up in har.

And organized religion IS a bad thing. Just look at the history of the Catholic church, nothing but power/money grabbing. I can understand someone having some sort of faith, but living your life a certain way because some people with books tell you to is silly.

And that's not to say that all churches are evil or corrupt or anything, just that there is a lot of potential there for things to go wrong.
Here lies a toppled god —
His fall was not a small one.
We did but build his pedestal,
A narrow and a tall one.
