I don't remember who said "You might as well pick a religion because if you are wrong you go to hell," but it's views like this that show how weak some humans are. We would still believe the fucking universe revolves around earth if everyone would have accepted what they had been taught by the catholic church.

I'm atheist and if God does decide to reveal himself one day I still wouldn't worship him, considering what a horrible job he has done.

I am sorry for starting this.
And about the whole "if you are wrong you're going to hell" thing: I don't want to lie to myself, and everyone and say I believe in god, because even then, since I don't ACTUALLY believe, I am just putting on a facade, I still would go to hell, you have to believe it in your heart. After all the church visits with my stepmother she's made me go to, it just strengthens my disbelief.

What do you care if someone is weak or not? You're an atheist, you have no morals.

lol13.

Also, Galileo Galilei was a Christian. Just sayin. Scripture never said Earth was the center of the universe.

Also, Job? He gave humans free will, all actions taken by humans cannot be contributed to God. Your logic fails.

If there is a god, atheists go to hell and (depending on which god) theists go to heaven. If there isn't, it is neither beneficial nor detrimental to any of them.

So you might as well pick a religion and hope that yours is the right one, because there's no point in being an atheist seeing as how you can't prove a religion is wrong or right. The only thing atheists can do is bitch and complain about how stupid religion looks to them.

Any reason saying that you don't like organized religion just means you're an angsty teenager.

Leave it to someone like you to insult me and call me an angsty teenager just for giving a point of view that happens to differ from yours. I remember this happening the first time we talked about religion too, you just started calling me things when I didn't say anything about anyone else's (sp?) religions. All people like you do is bitch and moan about people having different beliefs then yours.

I don't like organized religion because with most religions, I'll just go with the bible in your case, speak of reaching your own conclusions and finding god your own way. It also leaves room for a lot of corruption bla bla all the bullshit everyone else says.

I also don't feel like potentially wasting my time following a religion I personally feel isn't true. I've been looking into Buddhism lately as it's centered around finding peace yourself and not around creation and following someone else's morals, although I guess that has nothing to do with this conversation.

There's no point in trying to argue against being an Atheist (which I'm not if actually read my post, I didn't say there couldn't be a god(s) of some sort) seeing as you can't prove any religion wrong or right  I silently await you're attacking my sentence structure/spelling rather then giving an actual argument.

1. I never said you were an atheist, I was talking about atheists in general.

2. I'm sorry for making a valid argument with you and you getting riled up about one insult. Leave it to you to get all bitchy about what I do every time I argue with someone.
