Just out of curiosity, is anyone else addicted to the best sci-fi show ever, Battlestar Galactica?

Any of you watching the season premiere on October 6?

This is way different than any sci-fi show you've ever seen.

If you're thinking Star Trek, don't. This show is dark, gritty, realistic. That's why I say it's the best show.

Sci-Fi Channel. Two hour season-premiere starts at 9, but they have a one-hour recap special called "The Story So Far" at 8 on Friday, October 6.

I would like it if the story line wasn't so cheesy. If you did't know this is not the first Battle Star Galactica series. There have been many others, and in each one they end up killing alot of cylons, loosing alot of people and ships, and what happens... they don't get to earth. Ulitmatly they will never get to earth. As long as thiers money to be made they'll keep pumping out episodes. Other wise the show is ok and the visuals are done well. So no I guess I don't "like" it.

Yes, I am aware that there are two other Galactica series. The first was made in 1978 and was a cheesy copoff of Star Wars. The second was done in 1980 and was meant for kids.

This Galactica is much different. This one has very allegorical themes in it, from abortion to terrorism. It looks at a lot of today's key issues. It's a very thought provoking and intriguing series with some of the best visual effects on TV. I really enjoy the story.

i saw a few episodes on normal tv(channel Ten) but then they changed its tv slot to something else(i assume because not many people watched it),but from what i saw it looked pretty cool.
