Sounds like people are having trouble getting it to work.

For it to work you will need to have Java installed on your computer.
You can download it here: http://java.com/en/download/index.jsp
It's a free, harmless program that allows you to run small applications online. If you already have it installed, it could be your browser settings or some kind of firewall that's blocking it.

Also, when you go to the chat, you should get a popup window that asks if you want to load the applet. You have to click Yes.

If all else fails, you can always just download a program like mIRC and access the chat channel manually.

I think the chat thing died awhile ago. Just to many people couldn't stay on for any sizable length of time to make it work out.

I can't connect to the server the channel is on to see the last time it was active (the server blocks AOL users [maybe this is your problem lol]).

I'll check back when I'm on a different connection and PM you the results.

Yea, when I moved everything to the new server I didn't bother to set the chat room up again.

Everyone says that no one goes in the chat room. However, it actually got a fair amount of visitors from day to day. The thing is that no one would come on at the same time, so there was never anyone to chat with

I've always liked the idea of having a scheduled time of the week for everyone to meet in the chat room. The only problem is that everyone is in different time zones, so it's hard to find a time of day that works for everyone.
