Actually the British taxes were only about 5 pennies a year. But the Americans thought it was unjust for them to "Taxation With Out Representation" in the British Parlament.

Yes but too stain the flag with the blood of the Assasin, is very degrading, too me atleast. Besides doing such a thing would cause outrage from other countries on human rights issues..
